Tom,

Do I ever remember indoor soccer. I played on a company team. We played against MacDill Air Force Base out of Tampa. They beat us in indoor soccer 44-3! I can still remember the score and the slaughter. It will be forever etched upon my mind. That memorable game had Air Force balls ricocheting off the walls and whizzing past my head and into the goal. I remember some own goals that day. LOL.

No headers that afternoon by yours truly! How did we end up in their division? Our team had one star player from Puerto Rico and it wasn't me and it definitely wasn't our goalie who must have had a few too many holes in his defense. Our guy from Puerto Rico probably scored all three of our goals that day. We should have recruited more players like him, but there was no money in it, just pride and prestige. Gooooooooooooaaaaaaaaal! LOL.

As I recall we actually almost won one game or tied one game. I might have a pic somewhere of that game. Good thing we didn't have to play Army and Navy and Marines too. Coast Guard maybe. LOL.

I know about San Jose. My sister has been there and we had family friends in Stockton and used to go there and stay for a few days. I have been to San Fran, but not in a long time. As a matter of fact, both my brother and sister were in Lake Tahoe last weekend. My bro is a drummer in a show band and my sister went to a convention in Vegas and flew up to Reno to see my brother perform. Usually my bro lives in Vegas and works in Vegas, but this was a special deal. My bro has played with Edgar Winters, Al Jarreau, Paul Revere and the Raiders just to name a few.

Your comments about Crazy George made me laugh. He would sit in our section sometimes and beat the heck out of that drum and lead the cheering. I think the Rowdies stole him and paid him to stay for quite a few games. He was a permanent fixture at our games for one season it seemed. I wonder what Crazy George is doing these days? I think he started out as a high school teacher and went from there.
