Not always. I discovered a bug in Crystal's xBase driver that prohibits printing of memos under certain conditions. Crystal Decisions has confirmed the bug, but told me they probably won't fix it.
Here's the bug:
Use two tables, one for the report & page header/footer information (header.DBF), the other for detail lines (details.DBF). If you have more than 212 detail records, memos in the report footer (being pulled Header.DBF) will not print.
If you use ODBC or ADO, the report prints correctly.
