Ah... thanks for the info. There was a tip in Fox Advisor to place each detail line in a group band by Recno(), which would avoid the overlapping fields. I wonder if that would have the same side effect.

>VFP uses the hight of the detail band as set at design time to determine if it can fit on the current page. You can get extra empty space at the bottom of the page because of that.
