I don´t think people hate VFP. I think people doesn´t know VFP. They think a .dbf file it´s an obsolete one. So they can´t see the real power of a file that you can read virtually with any software.
Oracle is not bad, having an interesting security, but you need a real software like VFP to develop real functional apps.
Some people, specially VB Guys use to said VFP´s bad. But ask them why? and the most solid aswer could be: "Just because". Even that kind of people have a poor knowledge about VFP Power.
So, it is not extrange that simple mortal think in that way.
