I didn't think that was Jerry's or the article's point.

I found it both relevant and interesting that there is an 'admission' that security never figured significantly in Microsoft's software design.

My own thought was that they sure have been active in "securing" their code and licenses (re piracy) while at the same time (effectively) ignoring customer's security requirements.

They are addressing the issue and that is a good thing for all of us.
