No, its not reverting to background memory setting - the memory usage is much, much lower. When you minimize a VFP app it can go from using several megabytes to only a few hundred kb. Its a drastic reduction in memory usage and I would love to know what internal function VFP uses to achieve that?

iro your no-flicker solution - unfortunately this does not work for me - the flicker still occurs and I have tried using a different main window handle but still no luck.
