>We have a large Visual FoxPro 5.0 database application running on Win95, Win98, and Win2K clients PC's (500+) against a network FoxPro DBMS (that is: dbc, dbf, cdx, fpt structure). We plan to update the application to VFP7, but have been reluctant because of client run-time re-installs. However, now with a large share of our client PC's migrated to Win2K, this run-time re-install can be done via a package distribution. What other things should be considered with a VFP5 to VFP7 upgrade ? For example, are there any changes in the DBMS to consider ?
In my experience I hadn't any problems compiling application developed on VFP 5.0 using VFP 7.0.
In VFP 7.0 you have many additional features, but it is fully backward compatible.
