One can easily spend the entire conference inside the hotel, so the weather (which BTW isn't always that cold) isn't really an issue. The hotel itself has a fine restaurant so you don't even have to leave to eat, although there are several other restaurants within a short walk including two or three literally across the street. In short: don't stay away because of the weather, and do come for one of the best VFP conferences around. (Yes, I do have a vested interest here since I'm speaking at the conference this year, but I have wholeheartedly recommended this conference both publicly and privately to anyone who will listen ever since I first started attending several years ago. You won't be disappointed.)
