There is a thread in the .net section:

Re: Have you seen the C# Study Group Website? Thread #698261

by Victor Campos that initiated the discussion of a possible web-based C# study group of VFP developers. Rick Borup and I thought it might be of enough interest to initiate a discussion specifically to get it going if possible.

However, before such a thing can even be contemplated, we would need to know:

1. How many VFP developers would be interested in attending?
1a. What days are the most convenient for participation?
2. What C# book would be the best choice to utilize in the study group. (Not just a reference, but a more 'textbook-like' book for learning and stepping through exercises. For example, general overview, framework, and starting at step 1 and proceeding until an app is built)
3. Where to host the chat?
4. Anyone volunteer to moderate and coordinate the chat?
5. What 'potential' csharpers are willing to participate to help us c# newbies learn? Or should it be round-table? (I prefer an experienced or at least somewhat experienced csharper particpate in leading and guiding the study group if possible).
6. Should we have reading assignments before each chat is scheduled (think so).

Please let us know by responding to this message if you are interested in participating and your thoughts on items 1-6 above. I think that if we can get a 'potential csharpie' to participate, then they would be best candidate to determine answers to 5 and 6 above.

Thanks!

Tracy
