I guess, this discussion pretty much leads to the conclusion, that it would not be a good idea to use progress bar in this situation, when the number of affected records is unknown... I basically explained my concerns to the user, who suggested this progress bar... I guess, I better will forget about this idea completely...

Though I heard and saw some progress bars, which are "self-updatable" (invented a new word here). Example could be file downloading process or something similar... But I don't think, this idea could be implemented in my situation...
