Don't be paranoid. It is great that CoDe informs us about .NET because it is done by true Fox experts, which will balance their reporting. I don't think they will settle for cute but inferior characteristics. Maybe thay can even influence the way .NET evolves.
.NET still has a long way to go in order not to end up like the Edsel. The difference is MS has a lot riding on it, including ego, and they have a lot of money. But history shows they are smart and pragmatic. We'll see. I am sitting this one out.
