Yes the laser printer is default and any way I am planning two variables to conatain the pre and post string like:

m.prestr = "type "
m.poststr = "> lpt1:"
run &prestr. acctmast.txt &poststr.

so the user can configure m.poststr to maybe "> lpt2:" if required.

but I would like to ask again the text file is a simple text file right ?
