>I have a form with a grid based on a pview. It lists milestone descriptions grouped by department. The initial grid is populated by a generic list. Now say I need to add a new note to a list that will not be standard. How can I insert a new line into my grid where I need it to appear when I view and print?

You mean, you want to insert the line at a specific point? I would maintain a field with a number for ordering. To insert a record at a specific place, use an ordering number between that of two existing records.
