>Yes, that's what wasn't working. After an hour or so I decided that the syntax was absolutely correct and the problem had to be elsewhere. I deleted the .MPR and .MPX files, rebuilt the project and now everything works correctly. I've had similar issues with the menu builder over the years so I should have tried this sooner.
