Garry,

If I'm not mistaken, AutoYield *is* a difference between VFP 3 and VFP 5 *AND* could be implicated in troubles like this.

Just a thought.

If performance is a consideration (isn't that one reason we use FoxPro?), you should probably turn off your screen saver.
