The actions of Microsoft are it's policy. I would describe your companies actions as "at this time gently nudging VFP developers toward .NET using C# or VB and not encouraging increased usage of VFP by other developers."

You make my point when you fail to endorse VFP for ALL developers and make an active effort to increase the VFP community.
Someone would say "you walk a good walk and talk a good talk" and you should, you're a smart man and I am sure get paid well to behave smartly. My words for any developer is VFP, or any other development tool, is that it is a tool, not a religion. So, when it appears your tool isn't getting the attention from it's maker that you normally expect don't be afraid to look around and see what else is available.
