I do not have a dot matrix to test, but see what PRTINFO(11) returns for a DM printer. For that type of printer, I would guess the value is quite low compared to a deskjet or laser. Also see VFP Help on PRTINFO function to see of PRTINFO(12) might help you as well.
>Does anyone know of a way to test the default printer and determine if it's a dot matrix printer? I have some reports that contain True Type fonts so they are slow on a dot matrix. I would like to have an uglier form using non true type fonts that could print if the default printer is a dot matrix. Thanks for the help,
