I do not have a dot matrix to test, but see what PRTINFO(11) returns for a DM printer. For that type of printer, I would guess the value is quite low compared to a deskjet or laser. Also see VFP Help on PRTINFO function to see of PRTINFO(12) might help you as well.

I would like to have an uglier form using non true type fonts that could print if the default printer is a dot matrix. Thanks for the help,
