Yup, this is a pain. I would suggest that you put in an ER to Dave to fix this behaviour. This is not consistent with adding keys in the rest of the registry.

These keys are generally kept in Appreg01. Best thing to do is create a known privilege key. Open Appreg01 in VFP. Locate your known key in the table. Scatter Memvar Memo, Append Blank, Gather Memvar Memo. Then, just amend the KeyName and LocName values for your new key(s). Take a backup!
