Hi Doug,

As is so often the case, one thinks of the solution after the big "SEND" button is pressed on the email....

I looked at my config.fpw file again and even though there was no RESOURCE=OFF, I was pointing to the VFP6 resource file via RESOURCE=D:\...\Foxuser.dbf (which is the VFP6 one); but in the Tools, Options screen, I was specifying another resource file (FoxUser7.dbf).

My guess is that VFP7 was getting confused when starting up (or just doing what I told it to do :-) so that even though it seemed that Foxuser7.dbf was the resouce file in use [this is what SYS(2005) returned once I was up and running], it was probably pulling from FoxUser.dbf as it started up and got the command settings from there.

Solution was to create a new config.fpw (config.fp7) and point to that using the command line switch. This then points to the correct foxuser7.dbf file upon startup and all is hunkydory.

Thanks.

Albert
