Is the following code 'proper'?

REPLACE reprints WITH reprints+1 FOR flagged="P"
REPLACE flagged WITH "O"  FOR flagged="P"

or should I do this:

SCAN FOR flagged="P"
  REPLACE reprints WITH reprints+1, flagged WITH "O"
ENDSCAN
