We sometimes get the same thing on our TS server: "error reading file". It's a Win2000 server running TS. VFP is version 6. It's running duel P3 400's with a RAID 5 SCSI array and 512megs of ram. We have about 10 users accessing the TS with ThinStar 332's.

Another problem has been intermittent data corruption. It only seems to happen when ever an XP computer on the local network saves a record (which is not using TS). It does not happen all the time. The two main tables are set to Optimistic Buffering.

Have you found anything out?

We are trying to determine if the problem is being cause by the TS server, a XP computer, a hardware problem or if it's something with the Samba server the network files are on. So far with the XP computers not accessing there have been no problems today.

We just ordered the upgrade to VFP 7 to see if that helps at all.
