Hi All,

I recently needed to change my computer name which caused SQL Server to generate an error and advised me to re-run setup again.

So, as I go through the setup it asks me if I want to "Upgrade to Standard Edition (recommended)" which is what the system was already set up for. I am running SQL Server 7 (with SP4) on Windows 2000 (with SP3 and other security roll-up packages installed).

After I complete the "upgrade procedure" do I need to reinslall all the Service Packs on the system? Did the "upgrade" affect the previous installations?
