Just (re-)reading through my "What's New in Visual FoxPro 7.0," about the value tips that are supposed to be displayed in the database designer, view designer and dataenvironment of forms and reports: "...now show value tips displaying the data type and size for the selected field, followed by the caption...." Their display does not seem consistent, and I have a few questions.

1) should they be displayed w/out clicking on a field? I have to click and "hold," as if I were to drag the field before ANYTHING shows

2) sometimes just the field name in parents shows, i.e., "(island)" for a field named island - w/out data type and size

3) sometimes nothing shows at all in the Database designer. if I double click on the table (so that a browse of the table is displayed) then return to the DB designer and click on the field the type and size are then displayed

4) the view designer shows something like "Integer(4) ()" - note empty parens

Are others seeing this too?
