I'm experiencing some odd behavior with regard to the command window history being saved. Sometimes new lines are saved and sometimes not. I've searched the hard drive(s) and found 4 copies of _command.prg, one in the C:\WINNT\profiles\..... and three more on the D:\ drive in various project development directories.

That being as it is, I should say that I use a small form that I've developed to move to the directory of choice for whatever I'm working on at the moment. In the click event of various buttons I've coded a SET DEFAULT TO D:\FoxApps\.....

One question I have: Is there any difference between SET DEFAult and CHDIR? I've read the help, and they apppear to say that both commands do the same thing.

Another question: Is there something that affects the 'permanent' setting in Tools...Options...File Locations tab? My Default Directory and Resource File locations sometimes change, even when I press the 'Set As Default' button, either at the next session or the next day.
