I checked the APPLE site prior to my post. This site just confused me because I thought JAVA is write once for any platform. Note that the APPLE site suggested that a call to their threading routines was being made to improve performance.

Leland I doubt it's just hardware because windows based machines have the same or better graphic cards.

So the question is what is APPLE doing????
