Hello All,

The latest version of Info Digger is now available. It includes an installation fix for proxy servers. The HTTP connection for file updates was failing on proxy servers that require validation (username and password). I do apologized to anyone else who ran into this problem. I'll gladly email a link to updated executables if you prefer not to download the installation setup again.

Now the new stuff... Three interfaces provide quick and easy ways to add ODBC connections, SQL select statements and file links to a service database - Document Discoverer, SQL Discoverer and SQL Developer. You can drag and drop files and folders from Windows Explorer onto the Outlook bar and Treeview menus to open and populate the Document Discoverer with menu links to access the data. The Document Discover has a new search criteria interface for performing keyword searchs accross any number of folders. It's fast and also creates a duplicate files and file type summary cursors to tally files found. You can drag and drop folders on the grid to add folders to be searched.

Both the SQL Discoverer and SQL Developer have a new connection page for creating DSNless connections. You can write the string or select existing ODBC drivers and DSN connections to get a head start on it and test the connection as you make changes. With these two interefaces creating menus for ODBC data sources that can be shared with users on a network takes minutes.

Next week you'll be able to drag and drop FoxPro, VFP, Paradox, Access, dBase data files onto the menus to open and populate the SQL Discoverer in the same manner as the Document Discoverer works.

The Document Discoverer, SQL Discoverer and SQL Developer interfaces are on the Open Interface menu pad found on all forms.

If you haven't tried Info Digger yet take a look at the updated sample screenshots and additional information at http://www.bdsoftware.com/InfoDigger.asp

Please email me with any suggests, comments or problems.

Thanks,
Will
