Somewhere here in the download section is an .FLL named CIPHER50. This is an encryption library written in C that allows you to encrypt strings in VFP 5.0 and higher. It can be used to encrypt/decrypt text intended for Character and Memo fields. Performance of the encryption/decryption is extrememly fast.

I should also mention that it is not of the same caliber as Public/Private key encryption. But it should be quite fine for keeping out the average corporate hacker.
