many thanks for the info. I did download and look at redemption last week for bypassing that ##$%# message the user gets while my program is trying to send an email but I went with ClickYes. www.express-soft.com/mailmate It evan has VFP code samples for turning it on and off. Redemption also seems to have a number of limitations for dial up connections which most of my customers use.

I looked at Slipstick and can only say I whish I had known about it a year ago! What a resource.

>I use the Redemption component http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/ to bypass the security restrictions that are imposed in Outlook 2000 and above. This component maps directily onto the Outlook object and gives a sender collection (similar to recipients collection in Outlook) which contains the address property of the sender. I know that does not help you directly but it might be something to consider for future development.
