I have FPD26 on my Windows 2000 SP3 machine and I can build .exes fine. Not sure what the problem is, but it is not due to W2k OS. Are you working in a dos window when you build? What is your path? What are your memory settings for the dos session? What is in your config.fp and config.nt? Do you have special settings in a lnk for running FPD26? What is the exact error message you receive? If I am building an .exe in FPD26, I use the standard dos link to get to a dos prompt and then run FPD26 development mode in the startmenu but below are my specific settings:

Here is my FPD26 config.fp:
BELL=OFF
DEVELOPMENT=ON
EMS=ON
ESCAPE=OFF
EXCLUSIVE=OFF
CENTURY=ON
MVCOUNT=1400
MEMLIMIT=80,1024,1024
EDITWORK=C:\FOXPRO\TMP\
PROGWORK=C:\FOXPRO\TMP\
SORTWORK=C:\FOXPRO\TMP\
RESOURCE=C:\FOXPRO\FOXUSER.DBF
TMPFILES=C:\FOXPRO\TMP\
_FOXDOC=""
_FOXGRAPH=""
CATMAN=OFF
Here is my c:\winnt\system32\config.nt settings:
dos=high, umb
device=%SystemRoot%\system32\himem.sys
files=200
device=%SystemRoot%\system32\haspdos.sys
