>>Could you clarify your question? Sorry I missed the point.
Mike;

Let me attempt to clarify what I said so it will have the intended context.

>>The point is we seem to have the same interests and concerns dependent upon what stage of life we enjoy as those who came before us. Trying to change that would require changing human nature and is not within the realm of science. At least not at this moment (I hope).

>You said "Trying to change that would require changing human nature".

>Whats so wrong with that, as long as we're changing human nature in a way to counter act another change in human nature (in this case, the introduction of alcohol)?

Our basic interests as human’s changes with age and responsibility. A child’s interests differ greatly from a parent’s. The behavior of children for the most part is similar throughout the ages and across cultures, as is the behavior of parents. I think we need a definition of nature.

Now if you are referring to behavior such as the introduction of alcohol to a young adult, it seems to me that is a learned behavior as well as peer pressure and has nothing to do with the nature of man. Perhaps I am still off track from your question. I hope we are getting closer though. Let no one say we did not try!
