Dunno much about the latest verions -- I used to hear it was easy intro but "forms based" and not as nTier capable as two others: Mere Mortals and Visual FoxExpress. I'm using VFExpress currently and am quite pleased, quite impressed and quite a bit more productive with than without. It'll teach you OOP thinking, has a Hentzenwerke book ("Creating VFP Apps w/VFE"), a website/support forum, and it's own DevCon, too.
