As others have pointed out, starting out with a framework is a wise choice. I recommend VFE7 (Visual FoxExpress 7.0). I have been very happy with VFE and the support is terrific. Also switching backends down the road is not a problem with VFE. I have not used VMF or the others personally so I cannot comment on them. I had wanted to download a demo and try them out, but neither MM or VMF have any 30 day trial (which would have been nice). It would be nice sometime to see the most widely used frameworks in use in person! Perhaps if you are located near other developers that use any of these frameworks you could visit and see examples of their use? I am not close enough to anyone (that I know of) to take advantage of that opportunity, but it would be a terrific opportunity (before you buy) if you can do it. Eveyone has certain likes and dislikes, preferences, etc. and each framework meets specific needs which may or may not be important to you in your style of development.

>I am about to start a new system manufacturing system in vfp7. There will be only about 10 users, security is not an issue however the system is extensive. I am an experiecned developer for whom code is not a problem. Should I investigate a framework such as Visual ProMatrix?
