Title:
Can't drag from Data Environment onto form
I'm missing something simple here, I just know it.
SQL Server as a back-end. I've made a test DBC, added three views using an ODBC connection to this SQL server. These three FoxPro views each point to a separate SQL view.
For two of the three I initially tried (and all others I've tried since) I can add this FoxPro view to the Data Environment of a form and drag fields from the data environment onto the form. For the third FoxPro View, I cannot. I can grab it and drag it over top of the form, and the cursor changes to the little box indicating that it'd like to drop the field there, but when I drop it there's no field.
I tried to create a FoxPro view against the base table upon which the SQL view was based, and that FoxPro view did the same thing; I couldn't drag fields from the Data Environment for it either.
This is running under CodeMine, in case that matters. This seemed like more of a FoxPro/SQL Server issue though.
If I manually create the field on the form and run the form (again, under CodeMine) the field comes up readonly/disabled, but I can navigate the table just fine. I can browse the view in question no problem from the command line.
Permissions are the same for all 3 views and base tables. Dependencies are the same or similar.
Thoughts?
Thanks.
