As in :

seek alltrim(mpatlastname) order tag last_name  ??

It used to work Ok as it was before. The only addtion to that form was a textbox that displays a number and a combobox which is populated by an SQL statement. The cursor is developed from an eitrely different table.

I tried the above statement i.e. without the OF clause and still get the same error message on the testing machine after compiling the whole app and creating the exe.
