Hi guys.
Id like to know if any of you have experienced curuption issues while working with .FRX files.
The case is the following:
I'm using an application I built using Visual Foxpro 6.0. After I compile this app. I could be using it normally inputing data and printing reports. Now for some strange reason the report file gets damaged (without any error messages or anything, I just can't print anything, and the app behaves as if nothing has happend). I know the report file has been damaged because when I try to modify it using VFP7 it does not open the report editor and insted it returns to the command windo, and if I try to open it as a table (USE MYREPORT.FRX) VFP gives me the following error: 'FILE IS NOT A TABLE'.
The enviorment in which this app is running has the following features:
1) File server techonology to access dbf tables.
2) No energy interruptions.
3) Server has a Pentium class processor with 256 RAM.
Can this problem be related to some of the following issues?
1) Damaged RAM
2) Some virus written intentionally to damage .FRX files.
Note: I have recently expierenced similar behavior with .FPT files.
The app only behaves this hay on one machine (file server).
When the app is running on a different computer (File server),
the app works fine.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
