Thanks, Larry.
I had looked into the Component Services before but didn't think it gave me enough. For example:
1 In the RacMgr32 I had a choice whether or not to allow the object to be remotely accessable or not.
2. Without the CliReg32 I don't see how to set up a access for a remote computer.
I forgot to mention that we are on VFP7, which seems different than what I remember in VFP6. I now have a Win 2000 machine on which I can run cliReg32 to register a com for remote access. The com object fails with a End Point mapping error which I see means the Automation Manager is not running. I seem to remember an Automation manager selection when I was running vfp6, but not now. Is there one?
We've only played a little with com servers in the a couple of years agonothing seriose, so if you know of a good white paper on doing com servers in VFP7 on Windows XP I'd be interested. I'm refering to VFP6 examples on Windows 2000 and the difference is confusing.
Thanks again,

The miraculous will take a little longer.
