Thanks for the reply. I'm new to working with SQL and had also figured out that I could create a trigger that would automatically 'trim' the data as it was stored in the DB. Actually, Access was were my greatest need was ... check out the reply from Armin. He gave me method of handling the issue from within the VIEW definition which is what I was looking for.

This was my first post on the UniversalThread and I got two replies and the info I needed within minutes ... I'm very impressed and I'll certainly be back.
