Is there any way to manipulate the pdf once you get it open?

For instance, when I open my pdf it is rotated 90° I would like it rotated into normal view, programatically. The user can rotated through the interface but I was wondering if i could do it for them.

My PDF is a machinist drawing and it needs to be opened in Landscape instead of portrait.
