I tried the same code on Windows 98 SE and it doesn't error, it just returns nothing (very strange). I'll do a private message to Ed and see if he has any ideas like you suggested. I have a small app that is used to let users on a lan (no internet capability and don't want it) send popup instant messages to each other and I need it to work on Win95-WinXP. I have the rest working (the actual sending of the messages on all versions), but it's not pulling the other computernames on the network in anything below Windows NT and I'm populating a combo box with the computernames on the network for the users to select a recipient from.

Thanks George!

>No, I don't have any ideas. However, if this old greybeard's memory isn't failing, I seem to recall being able to run this on a Win98SE box, back sometime ago. I'm almost positive it was before I got this machine and switched to Win2K Pro. My recollection was that it took quite a long time to run because of the number of servers on our WAN (Novell, BTW). Unofrtunately, I don't have access to a Win98 box hooked up to the WAN to test to this.
