Hello,

I am trying to install Windows 98 on a new harddrive.
The drive is a 40G Maxtor Ultra ATA133.
The motherboard is ASUS P2-99

I use the Windows 98 boot disk to boot up with CD ROM Support. After I do this, I try to run Setup from the E: drive. This drive contains my Windows 98 CD.

I then receive an error stating that a valid drive does not exist. Something to the fact of I need to run FDISK to create a drive.

I then try to run FDISk... And I receive this message: NO FIX DISKS PRESENT.
FORMAT C: does not seem to want to work either...

I am guessing that my motherboards BIOS may not be compatible or something like that...

Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Thanks a bunch,

Alvin
