Thanks for that but i think you are misunderstanding what i am trying to do, basically if i create a report using a File DSN, which is located in say 'c:\myapps\odbc\' the crystal report when previewed on a client machine will look for the DSn in the location the report was written, if it can't find the DSN then it will look where ever the default location is for File DSNS on that machine, which could be anywhere. What i want to do is the same as 'setting location' which you can do at design level when creating the crystal report but do it at runtime based upon whichever location the client machine is running the report from

any ideas??
