I think you hit the nail on the head right their - "a very simple look at history". Along with studies on your particular religion, I really think you ought to study a history in a bit more detail, especially your own country's history . You will probably find that as many people have been killed by your presidents, either directly or indirectly, by support of people such as Pol Pot & Saddam Hussein.

Look at the large number of poor in your country & look how well capitalism has elevated their lives. Your point of view is from a point of privilege, if you were in a similar position in a Comunist country, you too would believe that communism was good & be pointing out that capitilism is a complete failure.

You publicly grieve over the events of Sept 11th 2001 & the 3000 dead, & talk so loudly about the fight for democracy & freedom, and conveniently forget the estimated 30,000 who died following the coup aided by the CIA & your government overthrowing the democratically elected President Allende & installing the dictator General Pinochet, exactly 29 years earlier on 11th Sept. 1973.
