Hi Gaylen,

>I just completed a client server system for a small firm.

Just curious, what database did you use? SQL Server? Oracle? DB2? Are you connecting via OODBC using a DSN or are you using DSN-less connections?

>I used PCanywhere many year ago through a dial up, but it was quite slow. I am interested what other solutions out there or is PCanywhere still a valid solution. They are running Windows 2000 server, have no dial up capabilites and are connected through the internet through a DSL line.

One thing you might be able to do is specify the IP address of the database server box in your DSN or in your connection string. That way the application would work the same for him at home as it does at work. He would just have to specify which connection to use.

Just a thought...
