Hi, guys!

Alpha and Beta testing is under NDA, and thus could not be distributed/allowed to download widely. I think this is because nobody should know about new features in next versions of VFP until allowed by MS (at DevCon, for example), exept beta testers. There were a lot of situations when a lot of people speculated on new coming features causing bad iomression about MS. If you want VFP in good condition without *rumors* and wth solid guranteed information about new features, you require to be patient and wait till official revealing of them.

Also, why you do not go to DevCon? I think VFP8 version is what allow current DevCon to have more attendees, and thus keeps itself popular.

Finally, after DevCon, I think, new features in VFP8 will be listed somewhere here or at other VFP WEB sites.

>>>I read a while ago here that it's not possible anymore to become a VFP8 beta tester. That is unless going at the DevCon

>Would'nt it be cool if all registered VFP developers be allowed to download the beta?

>Is there hope of that happening eventually. Did'nt MS said that they took VFP out of the VS box so that we could have access to releases of VFP faster. I guess that having all vfp developers as beta testers would result in a faster release.

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

It is not appropriate to say that question is "foolish". There could be only foolish answers. Everybody passed period of time when knows nothing about something.
