The VFP 8.0 beta is closed, meaning we have plenty of beta sites on the VFP 8.0 beta program now and we are not looking to add more since our resources are maximized with the amount of beta sites we already have. Many of our beta sites are people who have helped in previous VFP beta before. People attending DevCon will receive a VFP 8.0 beta CD, but they will not be added to the beta, it will only be supported here on the UT and not on the private VFP8 beta newsgroup.

Having all VFP developers would result in a slower release since it would take much more resources to handle all the traffic. We are limiting the beta as I described above to ship VFP 8.0 as soon as it is ready. People who have the beta or receive the VFP 8.0 beta at DevCon cannot copy the CD or give it to anyone else and if they did they would be violating the license agreement agreed to when installing it. I hope this clarifies some issues and questions raised in this thread.
