You must also install the updated runtimes created from the service pack, but it is not necessary to install the service pack on users machines - only the development machine.

I always test on a "clean machine", a computer that has been built (format the hard disk and install the OS version the user is using)and the new software installed on it.

Testing is important to me as I do not want to have “egg on face syndrome”. Gee – it worked at my office and does not work at the client site – must be the client’s fault. When things go seamlessly at the client’s site I find that repeat business is a given factor. :)
