Evidentally it wasn't < bg >
FWIW I am googling my way to other solutions. Found a nice, simple shareware recorder called Tasker ($20 for single user license) which is a nice macro recorder and seems to work for basic stuff. Of course it won't errorlog VFP stuff, but it will click and keyboard and let you know if a serious of behaviors that used to work now crash your app after you "fixed" something. My primary interest here is to make sure enhancements don't break stuff that used to work. I think that's 'regression' testing.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy
Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
