Message #703736 and a similar one by John Jones in the OS forum prompted me to re-try setting the "Disable write cache" on my Win2K system. You may remember that it could be done in prior versions of Win2K BUT that it was reset between boots.

Hi Jim,

I can confirm for you that it is fixed for me. I've been waiting for that particular fix since... oh, W2K's original release. :)

UPDATE: Oh, and it works on both my W2K laptop and W2K Server w/two Western Digital HDs.
