Hi Lelenad,

Yes, you're right. However, that's already done and that's not the problem. The problem is as follows :

1) BadGuy is out and about doing a bit of WarDriving and sniffs out my Wireless Network.
2) With not too much effort, BadGuy discovers the IP address of my Router.
3) If I have MAC address filtering in place he can spoof a valid address.
4) BadGuy can now download to his heart's content. Because I have a download cap I will get screwed by my ISP for exceeding my monthly quota. If BadGuy decides to download illegal material (eg KiddyPorn) I will get a very unpleasant visit from my local constabulary because, as far as my ISP is concerned, the traffic requests are originating from me.

The solution I'm looking for is one that will allow me to authenticate valid users and keep people like BadGuy out of my network. The rest of the system works perfectly.

Regards,

Liam
