That's a pretty bold, blanket statement you made there. Do you think the guys who are writing VFP added the ability to scatter to create an object reference with properties for each field because Scatter/Gather was obsolete in VFP 3, 7 years ago? I don't think so. Obviously buffering is a great thing, and yes, I have been using it for several years now, but scatter and gather still have usefulness.
